
Rafaella Sale, Ph.D.
Dr. Rafaella Sale has a Ph.D. in school & clinical child psychology with a specialization in pediatric neuropsychology. Her doctorate is from the University of Texas at Austin, and clinical residency (APA-accredited internship) was completed at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior at the University of California Los Angeles. After graduating in 2020, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship with VCU's Center for Evidence-based Partnerships. Prior, she worked as a school-based crisis counselor in the rural Appalachian region of North Carolina.
Today, Dr. Sale provides psychological assessment and intensive behavior management consultation to families with children/adolescents. Therapeutic orientation is both relational and behavioral in nature, and inclusive of protocols that use data to guide course and length of treatment. Rafaella also serves as a site visitor for program accreditation by the American Psychological Association, a member of the Civilian Review Board for the Richmond Police Department, and a board member on the Special Education Advisory Committee for Richmond Public Schools.
