Diana Embler, LCSW
Diana Embler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who focuses on working with children, adolescents and families from a strength based model. She utilizes family system, parent-child relationship, couples and experiential models to address the needs of children and families. Ms. Embler is a Certified Circle of Security® Intervention therapist committed to helping families improve their relationships and overall functioning. She provides individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults with abuse and neglect, anxiety, depression, trauma and attachment concerns. She also provides family and couples work focusing on the importance of relationship and emotional connection. She utilizes cognitive behavioral approaches and play therapy with children with ADHD, depression, anxiety and other developmental concerns. She has extensive experience with children and families involved in foster care and adoption.
Ms. Embler holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Bates College and a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association for Play Therapy. In addition, Ms. Embler is a Certified Circle of Security® Therapist.
