Jadig García, Ph.D.

Dr. García is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in child and adolescent assessment and psychotherapy. In her work with children, adolescents, and their families, she uses an integration of cognitive-behavioral and family systems theories to guide conceptualization, treatment plans and interventions. Dr. García is particularly interested in working with children and adolescents who have difficulties with mood and anxiety and is able to provide therapy services in Spanish. In addition, she is able to provide bilingual psychological assessments for the Spanish speaking community. Given the increased need for mental health services for the Latino/a population in the Richmond area, Dr. García is particularly committed to providing services to the Latino/a population within the Richmond and surrounding areas via individual/family therapy, psychological assessments, and community engagement.

Dr. García earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD) from Suffolk University in 2016. She then completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children, which consisted of work with both inpatient and outpatient populations of children ages 5-18.
